[Campus] New Software Program For All Faculty, Staff and Students

McNeese will soon have an unlimited license for the computational software
program Mathematica as a result of a TASC grant proposal. This software is
applicable to all disciplines for teaching and workflow and it will be
available to all faculty, staff and students.
Ms. Brenda Marshall, a representative of Wolfram Research (the company
that produces Mathematica), and will be on campus Wednesday, March 26 to
deliver a presentation, "Mathematica in Education and Research Across the
Disciplines" and answer questions about the . The demonstration will be
from 10-11am in the Shearman Fine Arts Theatre. (She had asked for a half
hour before the talk to set up). She will discuss the software and how it
can be used in the classroom and in research.
All attendees will receive an electronic copy of the examples which can be
adapted to individual projects.
