Constitution Day---MSU Quad
Friday, Sept. 22--10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Students and faculty will be asked questions to test their knowledge of the
Constitution. Sponsored by the SGA. Prizes will be given.
Senator Robert Byrd enacted legislation that designates Constitution Day.
Sen. Byrd was a student of the Constitution and is known for carrying a
personal copy with him at all times and for giving colleagues and visitors
personal copies of the Constitution.
A regulation by the U.S. Department of Education states that all colleges or
universities that received Title IV Funds (Pel Grants, SEOG, college work
study and student loans) must celebrate Constitution Day.
